Some weddings just leave a mark on your heart—and Michelle & Ryan’s celebration at Orion Hill Weddings and Events was absolutely one of those. From start to finish, this day was filled with beauty, joy, intention, and one of the most fun receptions we’ve had the pleasure of being part of! In the wedding world, we sometimes refer to couples as “ideal,” and Michelle & Ryan were the perfect example of that. They were kind, decisive, trusting, and brought such a lighthearted energy to the planning process. Add to that the chance to work with this amazing family for the second time, and well… let’s just say I may have cried three separate times on wedding day (and that’s probably an understatement).

Michelle & Ryan truly understood the value of collaboration during their planning journey. They respected the expertise of their vendor team, made swift, thoughtful decisions, and approached the entire experience with such ease and trust. The end result? A stunning wedding that reflected them in every detail. From sentimental touches to personalized moments scattered throughout the day, everything about this celebration felt intentional and meaningful.

One of the true highlights of the night was the reception—this couple came to party! The dance floor was on fire from the moment it opened, and once the bride started doing the worm in her wedding dress, it was evident that this was going to be a night to remember! It was one of those nights where the joy was contagious, the music was loud, and every guest was fully present in the moment!

Of course, none of this would have been possible without the dream team of vendors who helped bring Michelle & Ryan’s vision to life. The gorgeous Orion Hill Weddings and Events served as the perfect backdrop for the day. It’s always such a joy to work at this venue—it’s elegant, welcoming, and endlessly photogenic. Speaking of which, Rendy Taylor Photography captured the day beautifully. She was such a champ, rolling with the punches when a little rain and some timeline pivots came into play. Flexibility and professionalism are key when things don’t go exactly as planned, and Rendy handled it all with grace (and still delivered stunning images!). And let’s not forget L & Jay Productions, who truly nailed the floral design. They took Michelle & Ryan’s vision and turned it into a dreamy, romantic reality that wowed everyone.

Finally, a special shoutout to Erin & Michael—Michelle’s sister and brother-in-law—whose wedding we were lucky enough to plan a few years ago. Seeing familiar faces, celebrating new love, and working with families again is one of the most rewarding parts of this job. To be trusted twice by the same family? That’s the highest compliment we could receive.
