Couple Showcase: Gerrard & Stu
Hello Gorgeous!
I’m feeling all the joy and gratitude as I think back on this incredibly special wedding. From the very beginning of our relationship, I had a deep sense that we weren’t just going to create a beautiful event together — we were going to become real friends. And that’s exactly what happened. Gerrard & Stu’s wedding was full of sweet elegance and grace, from the Christ-centered ceremony to the colorful and fun reception, this event just screamed G&S and we loved every second!
Thank you, G&S, for allowing me to be your Wedding Planner! -EC
Gerrard is a true artist — in every sense of the word. She came to me with a clear and beautiful vision for her wedding day, including a striking color palette that felt both personal and timeless. Together with her sweet momma, we brought those creative ideas to life. Every detail was intentional and filled with meaning — a true reflection of Gerrard’s eye for design and deep love for those around her.
Stu is Gerrard’s perfect match. The way these two love each other is quiet, steady, and incredibly sweet. All weekend long, every person I met — from family members to longtime friends — shared how Gerrard and Stu bring out the best in each other. It’s not just love; it’s partnership, respect, and a whole lot of joy. Witnessing that kind of connection is one of the greatest parts of this job, and theirs was especially moving.
One of the highlights of the weekend was working with the talented team at Mary & Anna Weddings. Their photography was the perfect complement to Gerrard’s vision. Their style — soft, romantic, and authentic — didn’t just document the day; they told the story exactly as it was — full of love, art, and connection.
The florals by Pugh’s Flowers were another standout. They went above and beyond for this couple, creating lush arrangements that not only elevated the aesthetic but felt deeply tied to Gerrard’s artistic spirit and personal relationships. It was floral design as art, and it took the entire wedding to the next level.
As their planner, I could not have asked for a more heartfelt and collaborative experience. Every meeting was full of warmth and laughter, and every decision felt aligned with their love story. I left the wedding weekend not just grateful for the successful event, but truly moved by the bond we had built.
And then, just when I thought it couldn’t get any more meaningful — Gerrard gifted me a custom piece of art she created just for me. Personal, thoughtful, and deeply beautiful, it still brings me to tears. It’s a reminder of why I do this work — not just for the logistics and design, but for the people, the stories, and the lifelong connections.
